High schooler facing felony charge for hazing incident
AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) A 17-year-old boy faces charges for allegedly helping to haze a high school Hockey teammate.
The teen has been charged in Mower County Juvenile Court with aiding and abetting indecent exposure and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say he held a teammate down October 26th while another teammate tried to make nonconsensual sexual contact with him.
The 16-year-old male victim told police teammates falsely beckoned him to a room to attend a team meeting after practice.
He says the 17-year-old grabbed him, wrestled him to the floor and held his arms and that a player who was naked then approached and tried to make sexual contact. The boy says he was able to push the player away.
The 17-year-old told police the incident was meant as a joke.
