The trial of 14 trainee pilots from the Air Force Training College here who were charged with causing hurt to a junior early this year will begin on Aug 22.
Magistrate Nabishah Ibrahim fixed two days for hearing when the case was re-mentioned yesterday.The 14 seniors — all final year students of a three-year diploma-level course in aeronautical engineering — had pleaded not guilty when they were charged on March 24 with causing hurt to Muhammad Hazim Ahmad Azman.
All the accused, aged between 19 and 22, were alleged to have committed the offence at the back of Blok Kenyalang, Wisma Pegawai Kadet in Kem Tanah Merah near here, between 9am and 11am on Jan 27.
The trainee pilots are Azharul Abdullah, Ahmad Hafiz Sulaiman, Thana a/l Achuan, Wan Aiman Hazimin Wan Baharuddin, Mohd Hishamuddin Mohd Suhaimee, Umar Anas Abd Halim, Mohd Izhwan Zulkapli, Mohd Sofian Mamat, Muhamad Ezuan Ahmad Moxni, Mohd Rizuan Jamaluddin, Mohd Zhafri Hanafi, Mohamad Yusof, Mohd Fauzi Ishak and Abdullah Arobi Mohd Rosli.
They are still attending lessons at the college.
