The No Ragging Foundation was requested on the day before yesterday by the family members of Saroj Kanti Das (a recent victim of ragging at Suri, West Bengal who had to flee from his hostel to escape from alleged severe ragging) for assistance regarding his counselling & related treatment to help him cope with the immense mental trauma.
The No Ragging Foundation's Kolkata cell immediately contacted a noted psychiatrist, Dr. G. Banerjee and on his advice, Saroj was taken by the No Ragging Foundation to a city medical college. He was found to be suffering from Post-traumatic stress and necessary treatment was adviced by the experts.
The elder brother of the victim told the No Ragging Foundation that they want the movement against ragging to be successful so that thousands of such innocent brothers , known or unkown, do not have to face this kind of ordeal.
The No Ragging Foundation vowed to try its best to help the victim and others like him in their movements against ragging.
