Immediately on hearing the news and that an FIR has been filed under Jadavpur Police Station by the victim's guardians, we sent a team to the police station.
In the afternoon the Co-ordinator of No Ragging Foundation, Dr. Kushal Banerjee talked to the victim's father over phone. According to their discussion over phone, a team went to their house at Jadavpur at around 11 am today ( Aug, 11th, 2007) and assured them of every possible help.
After a long discussion the them decided to meet them again tomorrow after the meeting of the organization.
The media has been very much co-operative here. They have supported the family very much. Media had contacted No Ragging Foundation to know our stand in this incident.
